Are you wicked busy? Do you have a long list of to-do’s that you have to accomplish? Well, welcome to my seven deadly sins and getting our book done. Because deadly sin number seven is the last of prioritizing our writing and our book. I mentioned this briefly when I talked about the fact that we have to make writing a habit, right? We have to fill it in. We also have to set a date for our book. Well, what happens is the book continually gets moved to the bottom of the list. It gets reprioritized. It gets deprioritized.
Make It A Priority
So, ask yourself, do I really want to write this book? Am I doing the behaviors that a successful author would do? Do you think successful authors say, “No, that’s not important today. I’ll get to that later. I’ve got other things that are more important.” Absolutely not. If you want your book done, and you want your book in your hands, you need to prioritize it. Focus on it. Visualize it. Imagine what it’s going to feel like when you see your book on Amazon, or when you see your book in a bookstore, or you see your book being read by someone on the subway. Oh my gosh, there’s no better feeling in the world.
So if you want to be an author, if you want to get your book done, it’s time for you to prioritize that. I’m Belinda Goodrich with Goodrich Publishing, and I’m here to help you get your book done. So, let’s get writing and prioritize your book. The world needs your message.
